Impressions: Aeterno Blade Demo

Nope. Nopity nope. The game isn’t my cup of tea in terms of genre, the graphics aren’t all that bad, but the gameplay and overall progress isn’t satisfying or fun.

This is a platformer with side scroller and action mixed into one, think Muramasa, but with none of the fineness and gorgeousness involved. Not only it’s it clunky, it’s pretty frustrating and confusing, and that’s just in a demo. You’d usually choose the best ways to showcase the game, not the most bland ones.

I was pretty stoked it was a female MC, but naaah, you don’t want to get involved in this mess of a game.

Overall, it killed any thirst I had for the game and nope, not investing in this.

If you think you might like it, give it a go, after all, that’s why there’s demos for playing 😁

Have you heard about this game before? Have you played it? If so, I’d love to know what you think of it!

Hakuoki is Best Experienced the Second Time Around

The first time I played Hakuoki I clearly remember getting the common route/forever alone twice in a row, and didn’t know about guides so… I didn’t get anywhere. This time around I got a game over on my first play… my powers of getting bad endings has gotten stronger! xDDDDDD;

If you saw my first post about Hakuoki….then I’m really sorry. I was young, immature and also wrote worse, even tho it was only 2 years ago /cries of blood

I’ll start this by saying I got lent this by Lilli, which I’m very thankful for her letting me use her PSN account in order for me to be able to play it, so shout outs to her! (σ≧∀≦)σ

I’ll preface this by saying I’ve heard a lot about this game, specially the bad localisation and issues, but that I chose to ignore 90% of them unless they were too obvious, in order to enjoy the game. I’m the type that if I start criticizing then I won’t be able to stop/overlook the smallest of things, so I prefer to focus on the positive/good side, of which this game has a lot.

That is not to say that this game doesn’t have some issues, but I won’t be touching upon them, personally (*´ω`*)ノ

If you want a good account of the issues you can read Krystallina’s, that explains all the issues in detail~

Came to my attention because it got fan translated. I like following the scene, it was what introduced me to games like Higurashi and Umineko before anyone even considered localizing them. I respect fan translators, and I don’t think they’re trying to steal/profit but rather spread their love and make it accessible because no one else does it. So thanks to this, I found a very interesting game.
