That’s right, I decided to make a Tumblr. Blame Naja, she was the witch that bespelled me. I try to shy away from spoilers, or not go into it too much on my posts here, focusing more on the language and learning side of things and my ultimate thoughts/conclusions. In Twitter I did some live tweeting, but I didn’t want to spoiler and trying to say my thoughts in 150 characters is close to impossible, at heart I’m more of a long paragraph type of thought/writing than a tiny tidbit of mirth.
So this is pretty embarrassing to admit but I can’t really understand narration and/or polite Japanese. Which is what most audio books are. After hearing to a few free ones, I was pretty disheartened. So I plopped down and tried drama CD, expecting not to understand much.
Turns out, if it’s dialogue/impolite I understand a lot! o(^▽^)o
And that’s how I became enraptured by Starry Sky without playing the games (⌒-⌒; )
Is the best soccer, no, best sports manga I’ve ever read. I loved Prince of Tennis, and it was my top manga until I read Whistle! I remembered vividly almost crying when Tenipuri ended and how I felt so wide, happy inside for the series and characters. Of course, now there’s a sequel but I’ll wait until it concludes so I can binge read it.
Came to my attention because it got fan translated. I like following the scene, it was what introduced me to games like Higurashi and Umineko before anyone even considered localizing them. I respect fan translators, and I don’t think they’re trying to steal/profit but rather spread their love and make it accessible because no one else does it. So thanks to this, I found a very interesting game.

I was supposed to have started this game in February (with Anny, Cas and Naja who did a post here) but since Tsukiko, the MC, has monologues and dialogue, I got afraid and just decided to keep doing N4, with two astronomy vocabulary/kanji because the game uses such terms, and started it in March to finish in April (which later got changed to May for our game group, but what’s done is done).
